We are seeking a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant for a position in a school setting in the MANCHESTER, NH area.
We are looking for a skilled, sympathetic Speech Pathologist Assistant to provide quality care for students in a classroom setting in our MANCHESTER, NH area SCHOOL DISTRICT.
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome speech and language challenges. The speech pathologist assistant will perform screenings, assess the student's condition, and design therapy and treatment plans to help the patient develop necessary speech skills. Your expertise will make a significant impact on improving their quality of life. You should be caring and knowledgeable about speech-related conditions and therapies.
To succeed as a speech pathologist Assistant, you should be caring, adaptable, analytical, and resourceful. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effectively interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. You should also be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

SALARY:
$40.00 / hour
SLPA Responsibilities / Duties:
Your responsibilities will also include monitoring students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and educating students and their families on strategies to improve communication.
- The Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is to provide support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for supplementing and enhancing speech and language pathology services.
- Assess students' functional development level
- Provide appropriate treatment to meet students' needs as defined in their Individual Education Program (IEP) objectives.
SLPA Experience / Requirements: To practice as an SLPA, the individual
- Must be trained with a certification.
- Prior experience in an educational setting or clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy related to speech and language disorders
- Experience in acute care and pediatrics is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
