RSU 64 is seeking qualified and certified applicants for an opening in the PreK program at Central Community Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. Central Community Elementary School serves students in grades PreK through 5th and currently has an enrollment of approximately 500 students. The PreK program consists of two classrooms that each host two half day sessions each day. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
strengths in the area of early childhood education;
exceptional knowledge in the area of play and literacy curriculum, instruction, and assessment;
successful experience working in a team environment;
knowledge and experience working with young learners and their parents; and
a current Maine teaching certificate (ie. Early Elementary Teacher - 029) and CHRC.
