Description: Holy Cross School is seeking a dynamic full-time Middle School English Language Arts teacher. Candidates should feel confident teaching grammar, reading and writing to middle school students. Teachers will work collaboratively with three other team members to develop and revise curriculum as well as analyze NWEA data to improve student achievement.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, certified professional who has a passion for student success and is interested in working in a team environment at the Middle School level. Above all else, you should have a belief that all students can learn and deserve the best from their teachers. The ideal candidate will have a love for teaching ELA, but most importantly, have a love for middle school aged students. We want people who are focused on building a welcoming classroom environment and who want to maximize student learning and engagement for all students. We are a small Catholic school in South Portland where we feel we are making a difference each day for our students.
