Physical Education Teacher -  Grades K-5

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide maximum physical activity time within class periods
• Teach skills and activities that transfer to physical actively outside of class
• Individualize PE activities for students needing an alternative to regular PE programming
• Motivate students to be active, cooperative and persistent in learning skills and playing games
• Help students develop skills for working in groups
• Promote fitness and teach wellness concepts

 
REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or MS in Physical Education
• Current State of Maine Teaching Certification PE (# 510)   
• A background and or certification in Adaptive PE (#515) preferred
• Excellent behavior management skills
