Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides support to students and staff by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst State License 
  • Masters degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years experience, unless otherwise waived 
  • Experience in consulting with teachers, providers, and families;
  • Ability to provide training to staff in areas of specialization; 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to consult effectively and harmoniously with teachers, administrators, parents, and community providers in a variety of settings; 
  • Ability to write valid goals for consultation and initial assessments; 
  • Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to all aspects of the position;
  • Knowledge of age appropriate social emotional development and behavioral strategies.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development, facilitation, and training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching. 
  • Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for students and staff. 
  • Provide behavioral coaching support including model teaching, class instruction, and in-service instruction to educational staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional behavior assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop relevant behavior strategies to teach pro-social behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Ongoing training and supervision of teachers and support staff in implementation of ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategies.
  • Create a data collection system to establish baseline, measure progress, and analyze efficacy of interventions for individual structs and district programming. 
  • Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for students with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behavior(s).
  • Meet as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing student needs and provide support when necessary.
  • Provide consultation services and maintain ongoing communication with student teams.
