The Westbrook School Department is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Multilingual Ed Tech III to join our growing Multilingual Team at Westbrook Middle School, beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.  

About the Position:
Westbrook’s Multilingual Team is a highly skilled and compassionate group of respected educators who truly believe in the academic and social-emotional growth of each learner. Currently, 22% of our total student population in Westbrook is identified as Multilingual Learners (MLs), representing 35 birth countries and 25 different primary languages. The Multilingual Ed Tech III’s primary focus is to provide support to MLs in the general education setting, grades 5-8 at Westbrook Middle School. The content areas which a Multilingual Ed Tech might help to support are within: language arts, social studies, math and science. The ideal candidate is one who is able to help scaffold instruction, whether individually or in small groups, to ensure content learning is accessible to students at varying English proficiency levels while also promoting English language acquisition.
