JOB SUMMARY: Full-time/year round, 40 hrs per week M-F, day shift, (no nights, no weekends).   

Join a highly motivated and engaged multidisciplinary treatment team! The Renaissance School has positions available for BHP's/Ed Tech III in a small and clinically focused day treatment program for students in grades K-8 who cannot be safely managed in their local districts. SB-BHPs work directly with students throughout the program. They also work closely with the program mental health clinicians and classroom teachers to implement treatment plans throughout the school day. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Minimum 90 College credits required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must obtain School-Based Behavioral Health Professional (SB-BHP) and Educational Technician III certifications upon hire if you do not already possess.  Training provided.
  • Must pass Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check upon hire.
  • First Aid/ CPR certification preferred, or training provided upon hire.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years previous experience with children preferred

Other Skills Required:

  • Physical interventions are required at times to manage unsafe student behaviors (training provided).
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required.
