POSITION SUMMARY: 

Are you looking a fun and positive work environment? Do you have experience in gymnastics, climbing, or obstacle courses? We are looking for individuals who are passionate about coaching and would be open to learning how to use our obstacle course. As a coach you would be training youth and teens on using the course to its fullest potential.  Create, lead and instruct participants in our Ninja training programs. Create a positive and supportive training environment while motivating and challenging participants to overcome challenges through the course. This program is meant to be informative, educational, and fun.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Ensure the safety of all patrons & and members; remedy all unsafe practices or conditions immediately. 
  • Educate and inform participants on basic maneuvers and safety. 
  • Help participants develop proper skills related to climbing, hanging and moving through the course. 
  • Support participants to succeed in the program. 
  • Demonstrate and instruct proper spotting techniques. 
  • Create & implement Ninja programs for individuals and groups of all ages and fitness levels.
  • Promote Ninja programs inside and outside the facility to increase participation using marketing tools provided by the AYCC.
  • Inspect, issue, and maintain course equipment; document unsafe equipment and remove it from the inventory to be repaired or replaced. 
  • Motivate and inspire participants to set and achieve fitness goals.
  • Provide first aid in emergency situations. 
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of course when needed.

Requirements

  SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: 

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
  • Extreme attention to detail and safety.
  • Demonstrate good judgment. 
  • Ability to work independently.

  • Flexibility. 
  • Proper use of safety equipment. 
  • Work with minimal supervision. 

 KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.  
  • Ninja Coach Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Knowledge of equipment care and maintenance.   

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 1-2 years of similar training/coaching experience preferred.
  • Strong background in obstacle course training. 

  WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, hours vary and may include nights and/or weekends. Coaching hours based on session and EAP training time. Maintenance, cleaning or re-routing Ninja Zone lanes and equipment time is also part of the position. 

Salary15.05 - 16.93 Hour
