Mathematics Teacher - Messalonskee Middle School

Qualifications:

• Holds current Maine State Criminal History Records Check
• Certification: 020 General Elementary Endorsement (K-8) or 300M - Mathematics (5-8) Endorsement

Description:  

Messalonskee Middle School is seeking a math teacher.  The ideal candidate will have prior classroom teaching experience, as well as a passion to work with middle school students.

• Assess students' skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to students' abilities.
• Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one.
• Assess students' performance, and track their progress.
• Discuss students' progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
