Opening for the 2025-2026 School Year
Waldo County Technical Center is seeking a dynamic and passionate Computer Careers Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in computer science concepts and possess the skills necessary to inspire and educate students in this rapidly evolving field. This is a part-time teaching position. WCTC has also posted a part-time instructor for CTE Exploratory position that could be combined with this position to create a "full-time" position. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required, college degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Computer related certificates required and a minimum of 3 years work experience in the field.
- Maine DOE Fingerprinting required (can be done at time of hire).
- Maine State Teaching Certification or eligibility for certification in Computer Careers or a related subject area.
- Teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of computer science principles, programming languages, and emerging technologies.
