Hancock County Technical Center is seeking a dynamic Cybersecurity teacher to join our team of professionals. At HCTC, we have a student first mentality with a focus on collaboration, innovation and providing student experiences that are rigorous, relevant and meet real world challenges. A core component of our instruction includes pathways where students have the opportunity to earn industry recognized credentials, as well as college credits for the work they complete in our courses.
The Cybersecurity class explores the tools and systems to secure networks, data, and personal digital devices. Students learn about the many career opportunities in cybersecurity. This program also includes ethical hacking and hands-on experience with network equipment. Other topics include introduction to computer science, IT fundamentals, network and security. Candidates with computer experience including but not limited to any of the following will be considered: CISCO, CompTIA, Apple certifications and Cyber.org Curriculum.
All candidates must be willing to work towards teacher certification.
