The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is seeking non-residential Academic Instructors to be part of the 2025 UMF Summer Upward Bound (UB) Program. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with high school students in innovative and creative ways. Instructors will teach in key subject areas, including math, science, English, world languages, and career and college development. The role offers the chance to advance students’ academic knowledge and foster skills that support long-term success—encouraging new learning approaches, perseverance, and the development of habits that will serve them in higher education and beyond.
Compensation: This part-time, seasonal position offers a weekly salary of $574.00. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with one day per week extending to 2:00 p.m. for a staff meeting. This position is grant-funded and contingent upon the continued availability of external funding.
