Statement of the job: The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking applicants for a continuing Lecturer of Nursing. This is an academic year (September through May) appointment with an anticipated start date of September 2, 2025. Travel may be required to support distance site labs. The Lecturer of Nursing is responsible for teaching nursing students in the classroom, laboratory (including simulation), and clinical setting, as assigned. teaching assignments are made based on education and experiential qualifications. Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in nursing
- Current unencumbered Maine or compact state RN license, or eligibility for Maine licensure
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- At least two years of clinical experience
- Ability to travel to different UMA locations
Preferred:
- Experience teaching in a Nursing Education Program
- Experience in Nursing Practice in a variety of practice settings
- Experience in Obstetrics and/or Pediatrics
Salary: The normal hiring salary for this academic year appointment is in the mid 50s - low 60's and is commensurate with qualification and experience
