Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.
MSAD 75 is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Representative to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.
POSITION: 260 days per year/hourly. Reports to the Human Resource Coordinator.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years related work experience.
- Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
- Organized, proficient multi tasker. Able to juggle a multitude of diverse work with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated professionalism with exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive employee issues/information.
- Computer proficiency to include spreadsheets, word processing and databases. Payroll system experience a plus.
- Experience with ATS, School EPR Pro is preferred.
- Experience with Workers Compensation, Benefits Administration, FMLA Administration & Tracking and OSHA is required.
- Able to work independently, exhibiting sound and appropriate judgement
- State of Maine background check (CHRC) authorization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as a resource and support to employees and applicants in all areas within the HR department.
- Maintain compliance with and stays current in Federal, State and Department of Education regulations & reporting such as, FLSA, ACA, OSHA, FMLA, Criminal History Background checks (CHRC), I-9, etc.
- Organize and facilitate new hire orientation both in a group and one-on-one setting.
- Track and monitor employee compliance and renewal of Department of Education’s required Criminal History Record check approvals.
- Maintain accurate employment records, personnel files and human resource information systems.
- Consistently exhibit a high degree of professionalism and the highest level of confidentiality.
- Administer employee benefit programs to include employee education, billing and audits, and annual open enrollment, COBRA notices.
- Administer and track Worker’s Compensation program. Coordinate claims with insurance carrier and medical providers.
- Administer and track State and Federal FMLA.
- Serve as liaison between retiring employees and the State retirement system and health and dental insurance providers.
- Maintain and distribute district staff seniority and sick bank membership data.
- Manage the District's Volunteer program.
- Wellness: schedule and coordinate Flu Shot Clinic, share monthly newsletters and promote Personify Health to employees.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
