Job Title: Information Technology Director
Location: Central Lincoln County School System
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer


Job Summary:
The Information Technology Director will be responsible for leading the strategic
planning, development, implementation, and management of all information technology
systems and services within Central Lincoln County School System. This position
requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to
collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the effective use of technology in
support of educational goals. Experience in public education technology leadership is
highly preferred.


Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy
aligned with the district's educational objectives and long-term goals.
2. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and
maintenance of the district's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers,
hardware, and software systems.
3. Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of the district's data
and IT systems through the implementation of robust security measures and
compliance with relevant regulations, such as FERPA and COPPA.
4. Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT department budget, including
forecasting and resource allocation to support the district's technology needs.
5. Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-
party vendors and service providers to procure IT solutions and services that
meet the district's requirements and budgetary constraints.
6. Technical Support: Oversee the provision of technical support services to
district staff and students, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues and
inquiries.
7. Technology Integration: Collaborate with educators and administrators to
identify opportunities for the integration of technology into curriculum delivery,
instructional practices, and administrative processes.
8. Training and Professional Development: Develop and implement training
programs to enhance the technology skills of district staff and promote the
effective use of IT resources in teaching and learning.
9. Project Management: Lead IT projects from inception to completion, including
planning, resource allocation, implementation, and evaluation, to ensure
successful outcomes within established timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related
field (Masters degree preferred).
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a K-12
education environment.
*Strong technical expertise in networking, systems administration, cybersecurity,
and software applications.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and mentor
staff, foster teamwork, and build collaborative relationships.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey
technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
*Knowledge of educational technology trends and best practices in instructional
technology integration.
