We are looking to fill one full-time ed tech position, 5 days per week for the 2025-2026 school year.
Provide instruction to student/s with moderate to severe developmental disabilities including but not limited to autism and intellectual disabilities.
There may be a need for lifting or positioning students with physical disabilities. Assisting with toileting, personal hygiene routines, and feeding may be required during the day. In emergency situations, restraint may be necessary if a student is a threat to self or others. Training in QualifyBehavior Solutions Safety-Care will be provided if not already certified. Ed Tech positions that support behavioral needs may qualify for a $5/hr bonus on top of pay scale rate.
Education/Certification:
Valid Maine Ed Technician I, II or III certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Experience with ABA (on-the-job training provided)
Training in QBS Safety Care ( school will provide)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development
program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation
as required.
2. Manage student behavior. This includes intervening in crisis
situations and physically restraining students in emergency situation.
