Position: Long Term Substitute for a Special Education Teacher
Location: Shapleigh School Grade 4
Reports To: Shapleigh School Principal and Director of Special Services
Required Certification: Certified in Special Education is preferred

The Kittery School District is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled long term sub to work with 4th grade students who have difficulty accessing school curriculum due to academic and executive functioning skill deficits. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with varying disabilities and learning challenges. The ability to collaborate and balance a high level of academic standard with a high level of care are essential skills for this position. The ideal candidate for this position will hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree.
You must be able to pass a background test through the State of Maine Education Department.
