Full-Time School Psychologist Position
AOS 93 is seeking a highly qualified, collaborative School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Special Education and Building Principal/s.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent professional judgment
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Expertise in administering and interpreting psychological assessments for school-aged students
- Certification as a school psychologist through the Maine Department of Education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and write reports in accordance with Maine regulations and ethical standards.
- Administer, score, and interpret various psychological measures (intelligence, personality, behavior, achievement, adaptive functioning, and developmental maturity).
- Review developmental information and select evidence-supported interventions.
- Conduct student observations as part of the evaluation process.
- Facilitate data-driven meetings to determine special education eligibility.
- Demonstrate a collaborative, problem-solving approach in all meetings.
- Develop positive relationships with students, parents, educators, administrators, and community members.
- Participate effectively in school and district-level meetings and workgroups.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral intervention services
- Deliver crisis response and intervention services
- Participate in legal proceedings and disciplinary meetings as needed
- Perform related duties as required
