Qualifications:
a. Master's degree in a related field
b. Valid State of Maine criminal history record check (CHRC)
c. Eligible for Maine certification as Superintendent (010)
d. Minimum of three years’ teaching experience
e. Minimum of three years of previous administrative experience in schools, or
equivalent

Job Goal:
To provide leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible equitable
educational programs and services for all students of Regional School Unit 40. To lead,
guide, and direct every member of the administrative, instructional, and support services
teams in setting and achieving the highest standards of excellence, equity and diversity in
hiring, educational programs, and operating systems. To be responsible for a system of
supervision and evaluation for all staff designed to meet the goals of the school system,
including academic growth of students and professional growth of employees. To utilize the
adopted policies of the district and state and federal laws to oversee and administer the use
of all facilities, property, and funds in the best interests of students and the school system.
