We are seeking a Licensed Clinician (LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or Psychologist) to provide therapeutic support in our Behavioral Health Day Treatment program.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or education. 

License: Must hold current license/credential as required by the state of Maine, to perform professional therapy/counseling services, and within the guidlines to perform Section 65, Behavioral Health Day Treatment services (LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, Psychologist). 

Minimum Experience: Newly graduated clinicians, with conditional certification/licensure encouraged to apply.  Experience providing direct services to children and adolescents preferred.

Preferred Experience: Training in one of the following orientations: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavior Therapy, training in trauma-informed care. Demonstrated ability working within a day treatment setting and collaborating with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and school administration. Experience running social-emotional skills groups. Experience working with children and adolescents in crisis. Experience working with families and connecting them with community resources. Experience working within the Behavioral Health service model of MaineCare. 

Duties & Responsibilities

•Provide clinical services per IEP/ITP to support students’ emotional, social, and behavioral needs.

•Conduct intake assessments (CAs) for new students and annual CAs/ITPs for existing students.

•Develop critical measurable IEP/ITP goals, maintaining progress notes and quarterly reviews.

•Facilitate weekly individual sessions.

•Collaborate with parents, school staff, and external agencies to support student progress.

•Act as a liaison between home, school, and agencies (DHS, Mental Health, Corrections).

Refer students to appropriate services as necessary.

•Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with Section 65 Behavioral Health Day Treatment guidelines.

•Prepare required reports and maintain accurate records.
