Limestone Community School is accepting applications for the following administrative position for the 2025-2026 school year:
Special Education Director
The successful candidate will have experience with students with behavioral disabilities, social work, and program planning and leadership. Applicants will be certified or certifiable for 282 Special Education Teacher and 030 for special education director.
This position is part-time, but could be combined with SPED teaching responsibilities to create a full-time position. Salary and hours working in the district are negotiable. This is a unique opportunity for the right educator.
Limestone Community School shares a beautiful facility with The Maine School of Science and Mathematics, an award-winning high school in Aroostook County. The Pre-K to 8 school is looking for an innovative and creative person to fill this open position and help develop a school that continues to do “what’s best for kids” with its existing staff. We have a close-knit, nurturing and supportive environment for students to grow, learn and develop to their fullest potential. The director would work collaboratively with classroom teachers and educational technicians to support a dynamic, flexible approach to instruction for its students.
