HALF DAY BUSINESS and ENTREPRENEURSHIP INSTRUCTOR

Mid-Maine Technical Center is a regional, technical high school serving 11 th and 12 th grade students from Lawrence,
Messalonskee, Waterville, and Winslow High Schools. MMTC offers twenty-four technical courses that prepare
students for post-secondary education and employment by providing instruction and practical experiences through
industry-recognized curricula.
THE BUISNESS and ENTRENPENUERSHIP PROGRAM
The Business and Entrepreneurship program introduces students to elements of business and focuses on building
and maintaining a business in the modern era. Students will have access to state of the art equipment to create
projects using 3-D printers, advanced photography equipment, specialized computers, and modern software.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Teaching high school students in a comprehensive business program using approved standards and
curriculum.
? Establishing and maintaining professional, collaborative relationships with community partners including
local industry, state and industry training organizations, and colleges.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Must hold or be eligible for a Maine Teaching Certificate endorsement 898: Business Administration.
? Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and
community partners.
? Professional, cooperative, and respectful of the beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality of others.
THE INSTRUCTOR POSITION
? Half day school year position (183 days, 10:45 – 2:30pm)
