Description

The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) seeks applicants to fill the position of Head Teacher Infant and Toddler (6-weeks to 18-months). This position is responsible for direction and overall supervision of a group of infants in the 6-week to 18-month classroom. Performs activities that ensure the health, safety, involvement, and developmental progress of everyone in the group. Works with team teachers to plan, discuss and implement daily plans.

This is a full-time (40-hour work week), fiscal year position. The salary for this position is $44,000, with the possibility of an additional stipend by the American Rescue Act Stabilization Grant.

  • Technology Utilization - Computer proficiency/knowledge; adept at learning and using software programs.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a related field.
  • Current First-Aid and CPR certification.
  • Teaching Experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a related field.
  • One (1) - three (3) years of infant/toddler experience.
