Interim Guidance Counselor – Hermon High School

Candidates must possess or be eligible for Maine Department of Education certification [Guidance Counselor Endorsement, Grades K-12] and Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). 

Hermon High School is seeking an Interim High School Guidance Counselor to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, starting January 2, 2025. This role is critical in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of our students.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A desire to work collaboratively in supporting adolescents.
• A strong interest in joining an established team and positive work environment.
• Experience working with the social and emotional needs of adolescents.
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student needs.
• A passion to help us in meeting our mission, to prepare students for personal success in college, career, and community.
• Experience with post-secondary transitions and admissions processes is a plus.
