Specific Job Details:
This is a part-time position working with our diverse population of adult learners as an administrative assistant. There are no benefits attached to this position. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated professional to join our team. The Administrative Assistant for the Adult Education Program provides essential support to ensure the program operates efficiently and effectively. This role involves managing administrative tasks, coordinating communication, maintaining accurate records, and assisting both staff and students in a professional and friendly manner.
Biddeford Adult Education
is a community-based program offering a wide range of academic, vocational, and enrichment classes.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Perform clerical duties, including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and preparing reports.
Student Support: Assist students with registration, enrollment, and inquiries regarding program requirements and services.
Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student attendance, progress, and program outcomes.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related questions, distributing information via phone, email, and other channels.
Technology Assistance: Support staff and students with online tools and platforms used for virtual learning and communication.
Collaboration: Work closely with program staff, instructors, and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or HiSET equivalent.
Previous administrative experience preferred.
Knowledge of office equipment usage.
Strong technology skills.
Certification/License:
Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education.
