Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in English, literature or equivalent.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Relevant certification.
- General knowledge of curriculum and instructions.
Job Purpose:
Lee Academy has an immediate need for an English teacher, grades 9-12, for the 2025-2026 school year. Applicants should have a knowledge of Common Core standards and Understanding by Design.
English teachers teach students about literature, essay composition, and how to use language in powerful ways. These duties include grading and preparing assignments and quizzes/tests to impart knowledge and understanding to students. Tracking students’ progress and abilities throughout the school year. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, and student focused. This position requires work in an environment composed of both domestic and international students representing many cultures, languages and prior experiences. Preference will be given to teachers who have high school teaching experience in English or those who currently hold teaching certification.

Requirements
- Related experience in teaching English.
- At least 2-5 years of related experience in English teaching.
- Must pass/have a current Department of Education Criminal History Record Check Authorization (CHRC).
