After School Coordinator
Do you like working with children and families in a fun, casual but fast-paced environment? Fiddlehead School of Arts & Sciences located in the Gray Village is seeking a part-time After-School Coordinator. This position will begin in September for approximately 25 hours/week Monday through Friday from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. - (15 hours of afterschool, and 10 hours planning time), and continue through June, 2025.
After School Coordinator Job Description
The After School Coordinator is responsible for the organization and coordination of children outside and work in coordination and cooperation with any staff member on duty.
Requirements:
Applicants must be organized, should enjoy and have experience working with elementary & middle school aged children. Familiarity with customer service. Ability to be pleasant with all kinds of people. Willingness to learn. Cooperative spirit to work with assuring the safety of the children attending the daily programs and working with the instructors to do whatever is needed to be done that day to provide quality guidance.
Specific tasks include:
- Assist with after school student care / safety
- Assisting instructors with preparation of class setup and projects & be able to teach as well.
- Monitoring the transition of students between classes
- Familiarity with registration process and classes available to answer questions
- Assisting instructor / staff member with cleaning and upkeep of room(s) and other area as needed
- Escort students to the bathroom as needed
- Assist with snack time preparation / serving to students / clean up as needed
- General office support as needed
