Atlantic Academy is a small, day treatment school for grades K-8th, based out of Camden Maine, and committed to helping the region's most at-risk youth be the best they can be--emotionally, behaviorally, socially, and educationally. We are looking for staff to work directly with our students: implementing treatment and educational plans, and teaching social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
Staff at Atlantic Academy receive professional development opportunities in innovative practices and approaches in both applied behavior analysis, mental health, behavioral medicine, and education. Staff are encouraged to advance professionally in the fields of applied behavior analysis, social work, psychology and/or education through advancement and supervision opportunities.
Qualifications: Must have at least 90 college credits, hold or is eligible for State of Maine Ed Tech III certification, and pass a background check. To be successful in this position, you will have an interest and ability to work effectively and positively with children with emotional and behavioral impairments, be capable of engaging in physical leisure/recreational activities with our students, and be committed to honing your own emotion regulation capacities given the dynamic and sometimes challenging environment that we work in . Current Behavior Health Professional (BHP) Certification is a plus, however training for BHP Certification will be provided if not already BHP Certified.
