Kindergarten Classroom Teacher (one year) - Kate Furbish Elementary School

Kate Furbish Elementary School is searching for a kindergarten classroom teacher to join our dynmic team for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year.   Our school uses the K for ME program and is very invested in intentional play for our young learners.  

Desired candidates will:

• Have successful early elementary instructional experience
• Develop an inclusive classroom environment supportive of academic and social learning
• Create effective rapport with students
• Effectively plan and implement approved elementary curriculum
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students
• Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports
• Identify student needs and effectively collaborate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students
• Maintain a classroom environment conductive to learning, good health, and safety, in line with school wide behavior expectations
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with families 
• Use technology effectively
• Participate in curriculum development programs as required
• Work collaboratively with different teams of teachers throughout the school
