Nobleboro Central School is seeking a Night Facilities employee to perform routine manual work in cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining the school. Typically a 40 hr a week position (Monday-Friday 2-10 pm). We will consider the possibility of Part time or a slight shift in hours for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning assigned areas of the facility, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms and common areas
- Perform general maintenance tasks related to the upkeep and operation of the facility
- Sees to the general security of the facility during regular shift, making sure doors are locked and secured, etc.
- May take part in any or all parts of snow removal: shoveling, snow blowing, sand/salt treatment of walkways
- During summer months, performs total cleaning and general maintenance of the building (Full time employee)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling
- Occasional crawling, sitting, stooping
- Working conditions may require exposure to cold or warm temperatures for extended periods of time
- Report any building maintenance concerns that require additional support to the Facilities supervisor
Language Skills:
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Speak effectively with parents, staff, and community members
Qualifications:
- Maine Criminal History Records Check (Provided by the AOS 93 School Department)
- Some knowledge of use and handling of cleaning and disinfecting chemicals and equipment
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers
- Maintain a generally professional and positive attitude
Terms of Employment: This is an hourly position, year to year basis as recommended by the Principal, Superintendent of Schools and School Board.
