Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives? KidsPeace is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and creative Special Education Teacher to join our team at the KidsPeace Old Town School!
Our school is a special purpose private school serving children from pre-k through high school who have developmental disabilities and emotional disorders. This intensive, year-round program provides individualized educational and behavioral services to help each student thrive. As part of a collaborative team of clinical and educational professionals, you’ll work closely with Board-Certified Behavioral Analysts and Licensed Mental Health Clinicians to guide students in achieving their educational and behavioral goals.

What we’re looking for:
Experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or emotional disorders
Strong skills in behavior intervention and management
Successful teaching strategies for 1:1 and small group instruction
Experience supervising support staff
A commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and their families
Qualifications:
282 or 286 DOE certification (or equivalent K-8 certification) OR eligibility and willingness to obtain 282 or 286 certification
