Statement of the Job: The Learning & Logistics Support Specialist specializes in the interconnectedness of learning technologies across a matrix of functional areas in the Academic Services Unit (ASU), in order to support faculty and students with all aspects of technology use and information access related to teaching and learning at UMA. This cross-functional position serves as security liaison for campus-wide student data access in student information systems (SIS) while also supporting the full portfolio of technology and related services of the UMA academic services large team.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving potential technical or user problems

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS). Brightspace preferred
  • Experience providing logistical support and testing services
  • Experience providing hyflex classroom support
  • Demonstrated audio-visual design and production skills
  • One or more years of experience providing support services in higher education
  • Experience higher education pedagogy  

Work Schedule: A normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but may vary. Evenings and/or weekend hours may be occasionally required. This position is hybrid - it will have scheduled hours on your assigned campus as well as remote work. This position will require occasional travel.

Salary:  The normal hiring salary range for this position is in the low to mid 40's and is commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion.
