RSU 5 serves the communities of Durham, Freeport and Pownal, Maine. The district is located approximately twenty minutes from Maine's largest city, Portland, along the northern reaches of picturesque Casco Bay. Our communities enjoy small-town charm and commerce, existing among iconic Maine rocky shoreline, deepwater harbor, tidal rivers, historic villages, rural farmland and forests.

COMPENSATION and CONTRACT
The RSU 5 School Department is prepared to offer a multi-year contract with an attractive and regionally competitive compensation and benefit package, which is commensurate with experience and background. The district will reimburse reasonable travel and relocation expenses.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The RSU 5 School Board is conducting a national search for the Superintendent of Schools and welcomes the opportunity to interview candidates starting in June 2025. The position will begin September 1, 2025, or as negotiated. Please submit a full and complete application no later than May 30, 2025.
