RSU 10- Nezinscot Valley Region- Serving Buckfield-Hartford-Sumner, is currently seeking a FT school Psychologist to begin July 1st.
RSU 10 ia located in the Western Foothills of Maine, an ideal location for the outdoor enthusiast given our close proximity to excellent skiing, snowboarding, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and ATV trails. At RSU 10, we take pride in maintaining the NASP recommended ratio of 1 school psychologist for every 500 students; our current Psch Team includes two other psychologists, a behavior interventionist, and an academic evaluator. Our school psychologists share some aspects of serving all of our district schools, but each school psych has two primary building assignments which are their focus. We are seeking a collaborative colleague with diverse skills who desires the rewards of developing students into participating citizens through engaging in equity work, supporting PBIS implementation, providing consultation to teachers and other staff, presenting professional development, assisting staff and students during times of crisis, collaborating with families, completing comprehensive psychological evaluations, and effectively reporting evaluation results. Our communities do have a high rate of poverty, so the ideal candidate will be someone who is trauma-informed and understands how ACEs impacts learning, development, and psychological functioning.
