High School Science Teacher

MSAD 41 is seeking a High School Science Teacher. MSAD #41 is located in beautiful Piscataquis County and has a student population of approximately 600 students over three schools: Milo Elementary School (PK-2), Brownville Elementary School (3-4), and Penquis Valley Middle High School (5-12). This is a full-time position beginning the 2025-26 school year. 

Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of the following:

• Develop and deliver standards-based science curriculum

• Create lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities

• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction

• Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback

• Foster a classroom environment that encourages respectful discussion and inquiry

• Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and department meetings

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success

Qualifications: 

• Maine Department of Education Teaching Certification is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field.

• Classroom experience at the high school level is preferred.

• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
