Job Title: Title I Math Interventionist Teacher
Date Available: Immediately
Qualifications: Maine certification for general elementary K - 8 (020) and/or (282) preferred. Maine Criminal History Records Check required.
Job Responsibilities:
The Title I interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement in Mathematics by providing Tier II and III instruction in push-in or pull-out settings. This position also monitors, reports, and communicates student progress and performance.
- Meet with students 1:1 or in small groups for remediation
- Coordinate benchmark system and data collection
- Weekly progress monitoring for tier III students
- Identify and support the implementation of research-based math interventions for K-4 and 5-8.
- Be a member of the MTSS team
- Provide teachers with professional development; in-class consultation, assistance, feedback, and modeling through a structured and well-scheduled program in the classrooms K-4 and 5-8
- Work with teachers to use assessments, student work, and other data to analyze current practice and identify areas for improving and aligning curriculum and instruction across and within grade levels.
- Engage in planning and collaboration with grade-level teachers
- Communication with families
- Assisting in grading and completion of report cards and comments
- Attend weekly grade-level meetings

- Experience working at the elementary level shows a strong understanding of invention and early numeracy development.
