Regional School Unit 13
Social Worker
Regional School Unit 13 is seeking a full time general education Social Worker to work and support students in grades 9 -12. Applicants for this position must have the appropriate educational background and experience.
A successful candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- Advocate for the social/emotional needs of students
- Participate on student support team and risk review meetings and processes
- Support Freshmen and Sophomore Academies
- Provide social/emotional support to school’s programing
- Coordinate implementation of social/emotional assessments and surveys
- Provide general social/emotional support for all students
- Facilitate restorative circles as needed
- Suicide Prevention: conduct RSU13 suicide prevention programming, conduct crisis and self-harm risk assessments
- Collaborate with Administration with regard to the implementation of social/emotional programming/groups
- Coach teachers through planning and implementation of social thinking and collaborative problem-solving approaches with students
- Facilitate relevant trainings for staff.
- Conduct home visits

Requirements: Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)
