Woodfords Family Services has an opening for a passionate and caring Speech Therapist/Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at our Early Childhood Services (ECS) & Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) programs in Waterville, ME!

 

Position Summary

Woodfords' ECS & SPPS Programs are equipped to provide educational and behavioral support services to learners (PreK-5th grade) diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a therapeutic and treatment-based environment.

The Speech Therapist will provide direct (on-site) speech therapy services to a case load of students and assist the program in completing the following:

  • Conduct speech evaluations as necessary for initial placements and ongoing progress assessments.
  • Develop Plans of Care for each individual student, and provide written quarterly reports and discharge summaries. Attend I.E.P., I.F.S.P., and family meetings as scheduled or required.
  • Provide training, direction, and guidance on speech therapy goals to the Teaching Staff.
  • Supervise any speech assistants in accordance with requirements outlined by the Maine Board of Examiners on Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Work in conjunction with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to provide cohesive programming to the students.

 

Schedule & Compensation

  • Calendar year, center-based position with full-time OR part-time opportunities!
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • $63,000 - $85,000 annual salary - commensurate with experience, education, and position status (PT or FT)
  • $5,000 Sign-on Bonus! - Paid at 6 months of employment

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
  • Must possess good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
