Salary Range: $45,760.00 - $54,687.44 annually

A Classroom Teacher at Watch Me Shine specializes in education and/or early intervention. The teachers primary job duties are to ensure students have enriched programming that will allow them to develop social/emotional/behavioral skills, pre-academic & academic skills, motor skills, play skills and social skills. The Teacher will provide training, support, and ongoing guidance and supervision to paraprofessionals in their classrooms. This will include tasks such as perpetration, coordination and publishing of lesson plans, data collection and analysis, record keeping and report writing. Working in conjunction with the special education coordinators, Teachers will oversee and ensure student progress, student programming, and support and the training of current and new paraprofessionals working in their classrooms. Teachers are expected to learn a variety of early intervention theories and methods, demonstrate mastery level skills working with children with special needs, and be highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in a child’s life. Essential Functions of the Role:
- Ensure your room is organized for therapeutic and educational purpose; Organize your classroom and work areas to be attractive, organized and motivational for student learning;
- Develop and implement lessons and activities for students;
- Teaching and preparing children aged 3-6;
- Planning and implementing activities that teach our students basic preacademic and acadmic skills, social skills, and promoting emotional development;
- Creating a structured day that includes a balance of acadmic lessons, playtime, and rest;
- Introducing foundational skills such as emotional knowledge, attention, language development, numberacy, and motor skills through developmentally appropriate activities;
- Provide individualized instruction and support for students;
- Teach students within program standards, ensuring high quality early interventions for all;
- Oversee, support, and train paraprofessionals working in the gym classroom
- Ensure daily progress tracking is accurate and complete;
- Ensuring equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained, and safe; and
- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders about student progress and any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience is preferred but Watch Me Shine is willing to train the right applicant.
- Candidates must pass an extensive criminal background check.
