Speech Language Therapist/Pathologist
RSU 1 is seeking a Speech Language Therapist/Pathologist at Dike-Newell School beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will provide Speech/Language services and case management for students with Individual Education Plans.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide speech/language services to identified students. Including direct speech/language therapy and consultation.
- Maintain required records, including daily therapy notes, evaluation reports, IEP’s, progress reports, and other records.
- Assist in keeping files up to date, complete assessments and attend IEP meetings.
- Identify students in need of speech/language therapy, including screening students of concern and consulting with classroom teachers on pre-referral language supports
- Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to assist in making modifications and accommodations in their classroom and in developing language activities.
- Experience working with students with a wide-range of disabilities, experience with assistive technology experience and experience working within the public-school environment is preferred.
Certification:
- ASHA certification, Speech Pathologist license, or Maine Speech and Hearing Clinician (293) (K-12)
- Current Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
