Description:  RSU 18 invites highly qualified candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent.  Our District encompasses the Central Maine towns of Belgrade, China, Oakland, Rome, and Sidney, which are located along the Kennebec River between Augusta and Waterville.  

RSU 18 is seeking an educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools. The ideal candidate will:

• Manage a $45 million budget and oversee eight schools serving 2600 students
• Drive academic excellence through data-informed curriculum development and supporting proven instructional strategies
• Implement and maintain comprehensive school safety protocols while fostering a secure learning environment
• Build a positive district culture that empowers educators and inspires student achievement
• Collaborate with the Board of Education, staff, and community stakeholders to advance district goals

Required: Master’s degree in educational leadership/administration, valid superintendent certification, minimum 10 years administrative experience, proven track record of elevating student performance.

Salary competitive, commensurate with experience.
