Seeking a challenge? Waterville Public Schools is seeking an individual to administer and score Academic Achievement Evaluations on a part-time as needed basis.  This individual will work with students who have been referred for special education evaluations to administer and write reports for academic achievement testing.  This is an important role in understanding our students' current skills and needs for programming and eligibility.  The ideal candidate would have experience in special education, and strong organizational and communication skills.  This position has a flexible schedule and is a part-time position with evaluations being administered within the school day between 8:00am and 2:00pm. (Anticipated expected weekly schedule will be 2-3 days per week)

 

Job Description: 

  • Administering academic achievement testing to students at all grade levels
  • Writing reports to summarize the results of the academic achievement testing
  • At times, observing students and conducting classroom observations.

Qualifications:

  • Meet level B assessment qualifications, which includes training in a field closely related to the assessment of children, such as special education or psychology.  This may be either Maine special education teacher certification (282), or Maine School Psychologist certification (093)
  • Experience with administration, scoring, and interpretation of academic assessments preferred.
