MSAD59 is opening its doors to search for a superintendent.
MSAD59 is located on the banks of the Kennebec River in Madison, Maine. The district consists of three schools - Madison Elementary Grades Pre-k through 2, Main Street Middle School Grades 3 through 6, and Madison Junior Senior High School Grades 7 through 12. Additionally, MSAD59 has an alternative education program called Kennebec Valley Multiple Pathways that works with at-risk students to help them find an alternative to the standard classroom. The sports teams will be classified Class D in the 2025 - 2026 school year, and the girls soccer team won a State Championship this past fall!
The staff is committed to giving 100% to the children, the administrative team is second to none, and the community supports the schools and their children. Madison, Maine would be a wonderful place to plant your roots and accept the challenge to continue to watch the district grow.
This position will be full time which includes, but is not limited to, monitoring the academics of students and using data to target instruction, working with the curriculum committee to plan professional development for staff, the evaluation of administrators, negotiating contracts, keeping current on educational law and policies, working to create a budget that is fiscally responsible to the taxpayers, and having a creative mindset to move MSAD59 forward into the 21st century.
