Special Education Teacher -  Day Treatment Program

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced special education teacher to work with students with a variety of behavior and academic needs in a caring, supportive self-contained K-8 Day Treatment program. The program addresses the social, emotional, and academic needs of the students to develop the necessary coping strategies and skills to be successful in the regular education classroom setting. The special education teacher will supervise education technicians and work alongside administration, service providers and families to best meet the needs of the students.

Requirements: 

  • State of Maine Certification (282) and CHRC

  • Develops, implements, and coordinates IEP services.

  • Attends all required district trainings.

  • Experience with behavior needs a plus.

  • Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with students, parents, service, and administrators.
