As an OT, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct patient assessments/screeners to evaluate their current level of functioning
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks
- Conduct daily treatment sessions, working on skills related to their treatment plan
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using our EMR system
- Maintaining professionalism with patients, families and colleagues
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving independence and quality of life to support home carry over.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid BCLS certification
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Maine
- Education in medical terminology and patient care techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient service and collaboration
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required
- Experience with the following diagnoses are preferred but not required: Autism, ADHD, developmental delay, down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, etc.
