Location: Great Salt Bay School
Position Summary:
The Full-Time Evening Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is critical in ensuring the school is prepared for the next day’s activities.
Work Schedule:
1:30 PM - 9:30 PM
248 workdays per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windows.
- Event Support:
- Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for school events.
- Ensure event areas are clean and ready for use.
- Equipment Management:
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the facilities manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills for interacting with staff and reporting issues.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
