Position Title: Virtual/Remote Special Education Teacher & Case Manager

 Location: Remote (Virtual Role) for Jefferson Village School

Date Position Available: As soon as can be filled

Description:
Join a dedicated team of professionals committed to supporting students with disabilities with both functional & educational needs in a virtual setting. This remote case management role focuses on coordinating services,delivering specially designed instruction, implementing support plans, and ensuring IDEA compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A valid ME Teacher Certificate with a 282 Endorsement is required. (Conditional or provisional)
  • Experience working with students identified in special education.
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), special education laws, and positive behavior support strategies is essential.
  • Availability, full time, M-F during specific school hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) virtually in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide case management services, including scheduling and leading virtual IEP meetings.
  • Implement and oversee virtual positive behavior support plans for students or clients.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral and academic data using virtual tools to monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to adapt curriculum or services to meet individual needs in a remote environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to educational technicians or paraprofessionals as necessary.
  • Assist and/or administer virtual achievement assessments and curriculum based measurements

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for virtual settings.
  • Proficiency in remote communication platforms and case management software.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
