Description

Nobleboro Central School seeks a dynamic, flexible, and creative special educator to further develop our Student Support Center (SSC) behavior program.  The teacher will work collaboratively with staff, understand special education procedural requirements, and build a team to support students' individual academic, behavioral, executive functioning, and social-emotional needs. 

Other Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Collect data and monitor progress; at direction of district-contracted BCBA for some students
  • Collaborate with a range of service providers
  • Attain Safety Care certification
  • Promote positive behavioral supports, trauma-informed, and differentiation practices
  • Deliver specially designed instruction per IEP goals in social and emotional, functional, and academic areas
  • Perform any other tasks/duties required or requested that are related to maintaining services and student records in compliance with federal and state law, regulation, and policy

Education and Experience:

  • Preference given for those who currently hold or are eligible for Maine Teacher of Disabilities 282 (K-8) certification
