Job Opportunity: Part-Time Ed Tech (K-2 Classroom Support)

Position Overview:
A small island school off the coast of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Educational Technician (Ed Tech) to support our K-2 classroom. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work closely with young learners in a unique and picturesque setting. The position runs from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, making it ideal for those seeking a part time yet rewarding educational role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to the lead teacher in activities and lessons for students in grades K-2.
• Assist in implementing individualized learning plans and adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Support students with small group or one-on-one instruction as needed.
• Help maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise and assist with student transitions, breaks, and activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth and learning.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a commitment to nurturing young learners.
• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in education or a related field is a plus).
• Flexibility and adaptability to work as part of a collaborative team.
