Kindergarten Ed Tech 2

Sanford Pride Elementary School is seeking a dynamic Educational Technician II to join our team. This position is for our Kindergarten team, which requires flexibility in moving back and forth between classrooms and content areas as needed.

Job Goal: To assist the teacher in achieving academic and social emotional teaching objectives by working with individual students, or small groups, to support student growth.  

Responsibilities: 

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom teacher or appropriate content specialist, or assist in drill or practice activities;
• Introduce new learning preplanned in collaboration with the classroom teacher or appropriate content specialist;
• Perform non-instructional, non evaluative functions;
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials;
• Provide classroom management functions including active supervision and behavior intervention as needed including data collection; 
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and families. 

Reports to: Assigned Teacher(s) & Building Administration 

Sanford Pride is a PreK - Grade 4 school located in the heart of Sanford, Maine. In addition to district curriculum and programs, our school has a service dog program that serves all students and adults. Our community also has a greenhouse and an outdoor classroom. We believe these resources provide students with real-world opportunities such as being good stewards of their community.
